The Hazel Tree or Hazel Bush grows up to 4 metres. It is found throughout the Fontainebleau Forest. Originally from Eurasia, it is commonly found in all of France.
The use of its mediocre wood is restricted to domestic objects (growing poles, walking sticks, hooping).
Although it produced good firewood, it is mostly its nut which is of value, eaten raw or used in cooking and baking.
Der Haselnussstrauch wird bis zu 4 m hoch und kommt im Wald von Fontainebleau vereinzelt vor. Er ist eurasischer Herkunft und fast überall in Frankreich anzutreffen.
Sein Holz mittelmäßiger Qualität wird vor allem für den Hausgebrauch genutzt (Spalierholz, Stöcke, Fassbinden), man kann auch Bögen daraus herstellen.
Und obwohl er auch ein recht gutes Brennholz liefert, wird der Strauch doch hauptsächlich wegen der Nüsse angepflanzt.
Le noisetier ou coudrier atteint 4 m, il est disséminé en forêt de Fontainebleau. D’origine Eurasiatique, il est commun dans toute la France.
Son bois médiocre a surtout des usages domestiques (tuteurs, cannes, cerclages), on peut en faire des arcs.
Et bien qu’assez bon combustible, c’est surtout une plante alimentaire. |
