The caterpillar lives on Sallows, Poplars and Birch trees. The adult is airborne in July and then again the following spring, after hibernation. Its natural habitat is the northern hemisphere.
It can be spotted near Fontainebleau on the banks of the Seine River at “Petit Barbeau” (P 325).

Die Raupe lebt an Weiden, Pappeln und Birken. Der erwachsene Schmetterling fliegt im Juli und, nach Überwinterung, auch noch im darauffolgenden Frühjahr. Er ist in der gesamten nördlichen Hemisphäre beheimatet.
Sie finden diese Art am Seine-Ufer, am "Petit Barbeau" (P.325).

La chenille vit sur les Saules, les Peupliers et les Bouleaux. L'adulte vole en juillet, et vole encore au printemps suivant après avoir hiverné. Il habite tout l'hémisphère Nord.
Vous le verrez au bord de la Seine au "Petit Barbeau" (P.325).
