The caterpillar thrives in orchards, mostly on Apple and Pear trees. The adult flies in June and July. Urbanisation and the spraying of chemicals have led to the dwindling of this species.
It can still be spotted at the “Mare à Bauge” (P 844).

Die Raupe lebt an Obstbäumen, vor allem an Apfel- und Birnbäumen. Der erwachsene Schmetterling tritt im Juni/Juli auf. Urbanisierung und Einsatz von Chemikalien führen dazu, dass diese Art immer seltener wird.
Man findet sie an der "Mare à Bauge" (P 844).

La chenille vit sur les arbres fruitiers, surtout les Pommiers et les Poiriers. L'adulte paraît en juin juillet. L'urbanisation et les traitements chimiques provoquent la raréfaction de cette espèce.
