The caterpillar favours coniferous trees. In the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th centuries, the spreading of this species followed the expansion of coniferous sylviculture. The adult is airborne in July and August.
It can be spotted essentially at the “Rocher Besnard” (P 438).

Die Raupe lebt hauptsächlich auf Koniferen. Im 19. Jahrhundert und zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts ging die Ausbreitung dieser Art mit der Anpflanzung von Nadelwäldern einher. Der erwachsene Schmetterling fliegt im Juli und August.
Man findet ihn am "Rocher Besnard" (P 438).

La chenille vit essentiellement sur les conifères. Au XIXe siècle et au début du XXe siècle, l'extension de cette espèce a suivi l'extension de la sylviculture des résineux. L'adulte vole en juillet et août.
