The caterpillar feeds exclusively on Oaks. The adult of the species flies in July. This moth is difficult to observe since it tends to remain in tree tops.
It can be spotted foraging at the “Route Gaston Bonnier” (P381).

Die Raupe lebt ausschließlich an Eichen. Der erwachsene Schmetterling, der im Juli fliegt, ist selten zu sehen, da er sich gewöhnlich in den Baumkronen aufhält.
Man kann ihn jedoch Blütennektar sammeln sehen an der "Route Gaston Bonnier" (P 381).

La chenille vit exclusivement sur le Chêne. L'adulte qui vole en juillet, est difficile à voir car il tend à rester à la cime des arbres.
Vous le verrez cependant butiner "Route Gaston Bonnier" (P 381).
