In the autumn, the caterpillar starts by mining Alder and Ash leaves and after wintering, it moves to the buds of these trees. The adult is double-brooded between April and July, from Europe all the way to the Far East.
It can be observed at night at “La Béhourdière” (P257-384).

Die Raupe lebt im Herbst zunächst als Minierlarve im Laub von Erle und Esche und nach dem Winterschlaf in ihren Knospen. Der erwachsene Schmetterling tritt von April bis Juli in zwei Generationen im Gebiet von Europa bis Fernost auf.
Sie können ihn nachts beobachten bei "La Béhourdière" (P 257-384).

La chenille vit à l'automne en mineuse dans les feuilles de l'Aulne et du Frêne et, après hivernage, dans leurs bourgeons. L'adulte paraît en deux fois d'avril à juillet, d'Europe jusqu'en Extrême-Orient.
